City of Earth

The seat of empires come and gone,
foundation of the new age dawn,
a city built with blood and stone,
the rock of greatness sits alone.

Beneath the radiance of light,
history shines with ancient might,
memories of fabled verse,
the centre of the universe.

Bold travelers from near and far,
they flock towards the morning star,
to stand in disbelieving awe,
the city lives forevermore.

Its grandeur is a testament,
to strength and resolute ascent,
there still is more to fill its tome,
all roads still lead to gloried Rome.
